As he pops out of the water and splashes me, I begin to laugh uncontrollably. This creature just came up and spit water in my face. Obviously playful!

As I look at him more carefully, I notice his finned tail and his gills. He is beautiful, and I've never run across a Feral Avis like him, myself. I knew others had run across them, but not myself.

He certainly peaks my interest, as a water lover myself. "So you are the one who was nibbling on my toes, then?" I chuckle at him. "Sorry for poking you in the eye by the way. I didn't mean to."

As I look more closely, even his wings appear to be finned, and I smile. "You need a water-related name, I think!"

As I think of all the water names I haven't used, a couple come to mind.

"Nerio: Italian name derived from Greek Nereus, meaning "wet one." Nereus is derived from the word neros, which means "water." In mythology, Nereus is the name of a god of the sea.

Ooooooooor we could name you Quan. Quan was the name of a friend of mine. We weren't particularly close but I always did like his name.

QUAN (拳): Chinese name meaning "spring (of water)."

Buuuut I don't know which I like better. You decide. I love them both!" I smile happily at him.
