This is a young kalan, known as a kalanai. True colours and patterns develop when a kalanai matures.
In order for it to grow up outside of the herd, the owner needs to post ten consecutive days with the phrase "Little kalanai, you must grow up strong and healthy." If you miss a day, you must start the ten days over.

Shadonut when you get a chance I'd like to continue his father's naming scheme. I named him after a reference to an Artemis Fowl book so I'm gonna name this guy after something to do with another book I loved when I was younger. I read a series called The Divide when I was younger and I remember always associating the divide itself with this kind of minty springy shade of green. The main protagonist in the series was named Felix, which means 'lucky, successful,' so I went on a hunt for other names with those meanings. He and I both found a name we like, PARVAIZ : Variant spelling of Persian Parviz , meaning "fortunate." However because he's a Kalan he is insistant on an apostrophe in his name or two names or something to make it a little more unique, so he wants it spelled Par'Vaiz.
Par'Vaiz, according to him, also has a silent 'z' at the end. x3

that actually works perfectly, because I love the blue one! Both of my female kalans are both green, it would be great to have some blue in the mix.

Out of curiosity who do you think you'll end up attached to more? Personally I think I'm gonna really end up wanting the green boy because I have so much blue in the family so far but no green >u< There's also a possibility that one of them will have a ton of purple so that might be cute x3
