The whole song is talking about their quest in one of their viking ships. The refrain:

is mentioning Viking adventures, the kinds of quests they would go on and the dangers involved and how long they took.
(I know this is a long entry, I felt it needed explanation because not everyone loves Norse Mythology like I do. This is also why Thor and Loki are so important to me in the comics, because I feel they are portrayed completely incorrectly to who they were as Vikings, and as much as I understand the comics are different and that they at least had Thor's Hammer, I still feel they're incorrect in most of their portrayal.)
