That was my first reaction to it also. XD But then, if you continue reading, the satire becomes plainly obvious and you can't help but marvel at the overall effect that it has.

Lol, yeah, I knew it had to be a satire when I read it. Many times, satires like that are so much more effective because they generate so much more publicity and the idea gets passed around more as people talk about the work. And he obviously generated a ton of discussion about the conditions with his essay.

Well, good luck on your essay! It seems like it'd be a good topic in that there's definitely plenty to comment on! But then, I'd have trouble focusing on any one portion of his essay.
