Wanted readers to get a feel for the type of environment the emulets live in.

Omni and Wist live in a forest made from precious stones (rules of geology are completely different in their world). No wood based plants, trees or grass grows in their world, everything is made out of various rock and stone. Fabric for clothes and bags, etc, is made from skinning the bark of the jewel trees so finely that it can be made into fibres. Tools are made of harder substances such as diamond.
