"Master Echo"
Here we get to see Scout's Guardian master and essentially surrogate father. Scout hates his standard issue helmet for the reasons he gives and only ever wears it when he's forced to. Oval heads are rarely found in the community. As you can also see, he doesn't let Scout get away with anything...that he knows of.
Newsflash! Well after publishing this page on Smackjeeves (the webcomic site I also post to), I seemed to have lost a watcher. Now I'm down to eight...not what I had in my when I started using the service about a year back.

Around Milo's age, so he's a very young adult. I mean, by muskrat standards he's skating around the edge of being a full fledged adult with full adult responsibilities.

Well, that's my fault really. I could never decide exactly how to age them. Seasons or years. Reason why is because I never decided on how long these critter's life cycle is. Muskrats at best live only a year and half and well I'd rather not have them live only that long.

This Master Echo is really caring! Scout should listen to him, even if uncomfortable the helmet can save his life.
He doesn't like to put it on just like boys on the motorbikes!

And me. It wasn't until I took a bad spill on my bike in Middle school, where I went head first into the pavement and a trip to the emergency room before I got my first helmet.

Yep and in fact I had to back off a bit. After I was finished with all the dialog on this page I read it over several times and found that Scout acted and sounded too much like a child, so I changed it. He's in his mid teens, so the stuff that gets into and does......

Oh for sure, but that's not what Echo meant. Saying "The spirits know" would be the equivalent of saying "God knows..."
