Description
a brief description of the project:it's an ongoing photo study of accidental deaths... but not in a grotesque way... i like to maintain an air of mystery to each of these pictures... (my photo teacher hated that... but... i like the viewer to make up what happened.)

things about this picture:
1. this is in my old bathroom. it was a very small bathroom, so lighting was a bit more than tricky.
2. this is film... medium format... 100Tmax on a mamiya
3. this was done with studio lighting.
4. framing was done digitally.
5. this girl is actually NOT naked... she's too modest for that, so she just undid the top of her swim-suit and draped the curtain strategically. (which was fine)

i'll say i like this one better - maybe because of her expression. the only nitpicky thing i have to say is that i find it a lil weird that she's still got her arm upright in that position (given that she's dead...rigor mortis, i know...but i just find the arm placement a lil odd but it could just be me) all in all, nice work (albeit a lil morbid

ahh, see i DO have an explaination for this particular pose (other than... small bathroom difficult to shoot much else, though i suppose that does figure in as well)
the idea is that she was standing up... possibly drying her hair in the shower (not smart, i know) and then there was the shock... she fell, pulling the curtain down, but the shock had stiffened her arm and the electrical cord got stuck on something up higher.. resulting in her arm in the air. plausible? maybe not... oh well.. i will probably be returning to this one now that i have a giant bathroom to work with.
