not really a tutorial this time, but I thought it might be fun to document the steps of this YCH background as I worked on it! (the finished version with characters and animation should be posted within the next few days c: )as per usual, keep in mind that I'm no expert and have no formal art education - this just shows a few of my personal techniques and cobbled-together bits of knowledge about art!

I hate this 'step by step' kind of thing because you know... everything seems so simple when one puts it that way and then when I try it... yeah right, the result is a total mess ahahaha.
