Description
Outside-inThe eyes, I see them
And they call,
They call from afar.
Should I listen?
Please come out to play with me
I’m all alone in this darkened sea…
From my forged bed I crawl…
To the window I must go
Through… Through.
Some secret sense of antiquity
It awakens inside of me.
The sky is of a leaden colour…
And I’ve finally escaped my mother.
Follow softly through the leaves
To this sacred place that few have seen
Holds more marvels than you can dream
And here we rest…
Where are you?
The crisp crunch of old dead leaves
Beneath your muddy feet…
No sense of danger can you feel
As you reel around the tree…
A rush of air,
The smell of soiled hair,
Upon you like a living thing
To your body it will cling…
The morning lines read
The normal regimen things.
And beneath the tree you sleep
Off and away the eyes do creep
Oh, you poor lad…
Never knew it was coming…
‘Least you’re not stored in some bin…
The eyes deceived you…
The four outside and looking in.
