The angel dragon toy from InflatableWorld.de's next batch. First time one of my designs hits mass production! Feedback I have for them so far is that the face needs to be moved down, people would prefer plain yellow claws and they like the shine.Related content

Omfg, you don't understand how you have created the absolute cutest, most adorable squeakie on the entire planet, It's always been my dream to have one of these to cuddle and stuff~ You are one of the greatest people on earth and deserve to live a long and happy life.

How would one go about designing a custom toy with this company?

With IW they pretty much decide what they make since they produce large numbers and sell them on their store. I mailed them at their contact address (info@inflatableworld.de) and talked to them about it, sending them the ref sheet I had rendered out. They liked the design and decided to proceed with it.

It's mostly Hongyi these days. Though they're so inconsistent with anime stuff it's a risk to go with them. www.hongyitoy.com/
Sorry I don't do commissions but they can work from most art. I recommend asking them to show you the 3D model they make before producing the item, that way you can fix it if they misinterpret parts of the design. It's not guaranteed to work though, sometimes the 3D model is fine and they mess up on the final product.

I'd suggest having multiple angles of the same pose, best to have a frontal picture of details like the face too so they have one with both eyes clearly visible (rather than, say, an angle where only one eye is fully visible and the other at an angle, then they might end up mirroring the visible one and have both point outwards). Pose wise I'd avoid having the knees or elbows bent more than 90°, sharp concave turns like that are bad for the material's stability so they tend to round those out and you get weird boneless elbows. Most important though is always requesting their 3D model before they enter production, they'll often screw up in some way and only close inspection will tell you that. Keep in mind that so far they're no good at cheeks or noses so the face will be printed on an egg shape, that's mostly fine but something to look out for. Sometimes they won't do a chin either, they can do that but you might need to push them a little.
Theoretically the holes cost extra but I ordered one of their toys where the only image of previously made ones I could find had a hole and despite telling them I don't want that they still added it... They probably won't do that with new designs though.
