Your beautiful work is featured in my journalΒ
Taking a leapHello my dear friends
I hope that you are all well, I miss talking to you each of you I am so happy to share your beautiful works in here
Β
My little news for this year:
Being an artist for me is such a great privilege, and I am truly humbled to be able to create my feelings and emotions into a physical form. It truly makes me happy and am very grateful for every second of it.Β Part of my dream as an artist is to be able to donate to charities and help with endangered animals. I have done some charity donations in the past, which are all in my "charity" section of my website, through the sale of my artworks during the shows I had. But i wanted to do more donations and I finally took the courage to create a shop in my website. It took me a year to finally put together this shop.Β I am very proud and gratefulΒ to announce that my prints are now available on my site: http://monaparvin.com/
I will be donating

Thanks! At the time, I was completely fixated on the design of these old 45 spindle adapters-- spiders!

I would say that this is one of the best in your gallery. You really get the illusion of floating and motion when looking at this. It sure is a masterpiece.

That's a lovely comment! I quit smoking for good midway into this, so it took me a long time to enjoy the sight of it!

Don't you realise this is one of your best?

I quit smoking half way through it, so it took some time for me to be able to see it properly; thank you, my liege!

Thanks Sean! I'd been kind of obsessed with those little yellow spindles for months before I finally found some visual outlet for them...

Come to Manila. "Boba" tea is everywhere but, strangely, Starbucks doesn't have it.

There's been talk of it, and I've seen a photo of their version of the product-- it looked like the "pearls" were square!

Aye! It's diced-up black jell-o's or something.

The first time I ever tasted taro flavored boba, I was amazed that Starbucks hadn't poached it for their own-- there's something about that flavor that, I think, would appeal to any coffee drinker...

Very; and among non-Asians, I'm guessing awareness of any such thing hovers right around zero...

Did I say come visit Manila? So much taro here, you'd be sick of it.

Is boba tea another name for 'bubble' tea? I had some jack fruit bubble tea the other day and it was lovely!
The woman looks warm, beautiful and content. She's glowing! I wish I were in her place right now.
I like the colours you chose. The purple drink goes nicely with the yellow symbols on the vinyl.
It's as if she's watching the world in slow motion and taking in every little bit of beauty. It reminds me that life seems to go by so fast sometimes; I need to stop now and then and just enjoy being alive.
Well done.

Thanks Amber-- it's an honor to have you linger in this one for a minute...
Those yellow symbols are actually little plastic spindle adapters-- [link] they were used to fit the big holes inside 45rpm singles on to the skinny spindle of a record player made to play whole albums-- you need to be a hundred years old to know this, though...
And YES, boba tea is also called "bubble" tea-- and as tasty as jack fruit is, my own preference is this purple taro flavor...

I love boba tea! I love this painting!
Your creative edge, once again, illuminates! I like the flow, the contrasts of tones, the light, the textures, the mood, the everything!
She is floating, so to speak, on the soothing waves of boba tea. A daydream moment, meditative and beautiful. I like the aura that surrounds her.
Beautiful work, Sam!
:hug;

Thanks, Lori!
Boba is so neighborhood-specific out here I only get to have it every once in awhile; luckily, there's a boba tea place near one of my favorite art supply stores...
I got so preoccupied with the design of these yellow spindle adapters that I knew they were going to end up in a painting; hopefully, it'll be just this one...
