It took me a while to convince Akira to let me photographer her straight on while nude. She is super happy about all the nice comments coming in about her scar.Model: Akira Nostes

She's reallyΒ pretty and the camera loves her. The scar is hardly noticeable and doesn't take anything away from her beauty. I'm glad she chose to show it.

it is sad that she feels self-conscious about the scar. I personally have a thing for scars, but regardless... it is something unique to her and she should embrace it. She is gorgeous in spite of, because of and any other ofs you can possibly think of...

It's more than just a physical scar to her. It's a symbol of a betrayal by a close family member and she will never be the same. And it will always be there to remind her.

Excuse my ignorance/stupidity, but what happened to her with the scar?

I've never liked to pry with issues people have had as kids since I myself had drown when I was a kid and I hate talking about it.
But she told me that a family member (can't say who) had beat her several times in her teens and she had developed a problem in her left breast as a result and had to get surgery done.
