Description
I am willing to defend any who will call upon my aid.But what can one do when one is the source of the pain?
What does one do when one raised the shield to defend--
And cut their friend with their own shield's end?
How should one reply when this friend breaks down,
Falling out of all of love's great renown?
When the blow one struck upon this friend without thought
Was the one blow against which this friend could not hold out?
Whom should one send for and call to for help in quick time
When the thought behind the pain was to save their life?
When the friend was falling, bleeding, faster and more
And the bandage should have healed, not tore?
What do I do when I am afraid
That for my mistake my friend's life is paid?

little, I wasn't thinking about that too hard. I was more focused on getting the thoughts down on paper and having some sort of rhyme scheme so it's not just free verse. Why, did it surprisingly not?

Some parts had rhyme but come lines didn't. So I wasn't sure if the rhyme was intentional or not

Eh, looking back, the rhyme is rougher than I thought it was when writing. Ah, well. It was a spur-of-the-moment, and those tend to suck pretty hard when I don't think about it enough. XP

It was supposed to be a system of close rhymes, but it didn't work out like I thought it did.
