Hm. Try drawing her holding it for the throw, but the ball is behind her head and then the next frame draw her arm forward and the ball just releasing from her hand.
Think of this Comic style-They never draw the character actually making contact with the criminal during the punch. They show the AS I'M SWINGING, and the OH SHIT I HIT YOU BLAM! But they never show the fist connecting, know what I mean?
