because its transparant, the thing with this base is that you use it as a layer and use other layers to line over it
Its a trace-base so that people get a feeling of how to draw certain poses

I suggest you draw over the lines, don't be lazy with colouring but try to colour it by hand, that way you learn how it is to work with other art programs that use layers, paint is not good for the quality of your artwork
