Oh not really. His mom loved him but I can't say she gave him TONS of hugs) They had not that much physical contact since their relationship was built more on the psychic level. He loved her more than a son loves his mom) He was actually in love with her O.O (btw she also had curly hair~)
When he lost her he needed to fulfill the emptiness inside him. And the only way was through physical contact since he couldn't fall in love again since her death. And because he could always get partners anytime he wanted.
He loves hugs and kisses because he is scared that if he will let go of people he likes, they will also disappear. But still he is unable to fall in love( When he will fall for somebody, he will regain his lost wings. It is just an idea~ I rly hope it will work >:3

Imma just say this noaw, I remember hearing a radio commercial for this series called "Tyrant" And it reminded me of Emy's history that I read the same day lD

THAT PART stuck with me for some reason since Emy defeated his father in the battle and earned his freedom but I'm thinking (I kinda like to over think on characters sometimes lD) Emy knows his father is capable of finding him or whateves and it was interesting XDD But that's just me thinking over here XD
