Description
A Supernatural inspired painting.I am constantly reminded whenever I see Castiel, that I am always looking at Jimmy Novak's face. After season 4's 20th episode "The Rapture", seeing Jimmy give himself up -so that his family will stay safe- kind of teared me up. He is a character that is almost always onscreen, yet overlooked often because of "someone else" occupying his vessel.
I like to think of this painting as a kind of memorial for him.
Inspired by the scene where Jimmy says "Yes" to Castiel. Since the true form of angels never came up in the show, I made up my own version. The background is a recreation of said scene (Jimmy's house).
From what I know Jimmy should be able to see Cas's true visage, so I tried painting it in his perspective.

sorry for the late reply, and I'm afraid I'm not fully understanding the request; do you mean to ask for a second painting of Castiel's true form besides the one above?
(Which I would love to do by the way, it's just that I have multiple real life paintings I need to finish so fanarts have been exceedingly difficult to do these past few years orz)

this is fabulous, I'd love to see the actual painting in real life! The colours are gorgeous and the whole composition gives a real feel of the awesomeness of being visited by an angel in a way that the show could never manage.

I really like the idea of reminding us of Jimmy, though he is not really on screen, even when Castiel is, because we learned in, I think it was season 8 or 9, that his soul has gone to haven.
Also I think there are some more characters that we should remember sometimes, like for example in ep. 200 they remembered us of the third Winchester... I could always cry when I hear that song, now even more than I always had before...

Yeah....Adam was the unfortunate victim of another incident that surrounded the Winchesters...he and Jimmy are one of the saddest characters in the series, or at least the ones that I feel very sorry for. Thank you for the wonderful comment!

Always crying over Jimmy... When I first saw this on tumblr it was so large all I saw at first was the trueform descending. And then I scrolled down to see poor Jimmy. Heartbreaking. This is beatiful.

Wow. Just wow. I love this painting to bits. From the colours to the composition to the whole concept. I really like your take on Castiel's true form: the resulting image, for me, balances on the line between tangible and ethereal. I cannot quite grasp their nature and it is so awe-inspiring that I'm speechless. Jimmy is so tiny in comparison! Yet here it's quite clear for me that he's not something ancillary, but the focus of the whole thing and the inevitable victim. You painted a gorgeous rendition of one of the moments of SPN that I keep closest to my heart. Thank you.

and Yes, they are Enochian! I just looked up some random words in online dictionaries and mashed them together, not sure if they're precise though XD; here are the translations :
