I found this Squash Bug peering at me over a leaf and was lucky enough to capture it on cameraNikon Coolpix 4300. Cropped and border added in Photoshop.

Nice shot! I like the way you can make out an actual face in the little critter, even though the focus seems to blur out quite a bit of the rest of the image. Still, I think you did a good job at capturing this. Keep up the good work, Steve

I think you should have backed away a little bit, that way you could have added some more focal depth to the bug. It irritates me when all my macro pics end up having a focal depth of 1nm.
Great pic tho! The only thing I dislike about the pic is the camera you used... grrr i dislike automatic cameras, they take out all the scientific skill out of photography.
