Since Axel can't go around fighting mere pawns, Rice will fill in whenever there's a battler without a match-up.

Personality: A wannabe pirate ninja, Rice spends her days on the docks doing all sorts of odd jobs. While she lives in Tencko Village, she frequently travels across Pannep River to Altumello, Nilleld Oasis, and Pannep City. Rice will sometimes try to act cool and mysterious, but she tends to fail. In actuality, she's cheerful and friendly with a love for adorable Pokemon.
Bio: Rice's parents had a chance at joining the initial expedition to PAHHNEP, but they were busy getting their lives in order. Consequently, they waited until the next chance, leaving from their home in Johto while dragging their young daughter with them.
When the founders of Altumello parted ways with Pannep City, Rice thought to sneak away with them, hoping for a more adventurous life away from her parents. She was caught immediately. However, since her parents had gotten to know soon-to-be Mayor Axel during the journey through space, they trusted him and his companions to take care of the girl and her future.
