Description
This was created in Maya 2012 and refined in Photoshop. It's the Chevy Camaro (You know, the "Bumblebee" car).
Sadly, I didn't have the time to add some details like door/window seams, grills/lights, logos, etc.
The assignment also didn't call for any interior, so it's hollow.

It actually looks better without those accents and additional sharp angles-- almost like the pontiac firebird was meant to look. That would have been a sick car if they made it, and it probably would have kept Pontiac alive too.

Sadly, the lack of angles is a mistake on my part, as the automated smoothing of Maya got rid of the hard edges. If I had proper time to add extra "holding edges", it would have counteracted that, but I didn't have the time.
It is interesting to see a smoother version though.

Ahh okay yeah, I know what you mean. I speak blender (sharp edges) and Softimage (Hard edges). haha but the concept is the same. Yeah, that shoudln't be as hard as selecting certain edges and marking them "hard" really. About how long did this take you, just curious? I have to learn to model a bit more quickly.

This one was a month-long class project.

Nice. I've got character animation now, so I haven't had as much time for cool stuff like this! But characters are a whole other world.

They sure are. That's more what I'm into myself, but haven't learned anything much yet (other than the few 2D flash toons I've made)
