Description
Anybody remember this show?Weather your a furry, a comic nerd, or just a kid who watched cartoons, you'll probably remember the cult-classic "Road Roavers".
Colleen was the only female of the team of 5 super-hero dogs, making her the "Lola Bunny" of the show.
This is just a simple fan tribute to the show.

I've always liked her, and she's my second-favorite on the show.

The FCC should accept full responsibility for the program's demise. The amended the bullshit Children's Television Act that brings "educational" television (AAAH!!) to millions of non-viewers. When they amended it they added MORE required hours of required programming, so naturally they scrapped a GOOD program (a team of super-hero canines, WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR?) for a horrible one.
This law was the only flaw to '90s animation. Otherwise the '90s was an awesome decade for animation. God I hate the FCC, they ruin free speech and are unconstitutional!
Oh, and if you want this on DVD use YouTube, MediaConverter.org and Windows DVD Maker (or some other program) and you got yourself a DVD, simple as that. Or you could just watch it on YouTube.

I agree.
Although, you have admit "Histeria!" was the closest thing to Animaniacs/Freakazoid leftover, and likely to be one of the funniest "edu-tainment" shows out there. Otherwise you're stuck with PBS
Well, they released all the Freakazoid episodes, Road Rovers is bound to pop up in the next 5 years or so... Although I'm still waiting for Fox-Kids' "Eek the Cat".

Actually Colleen was not the only female in the organization just the only one in Hunter's team. Their was one or two other bitches who captained a dog shaped space craft with a frisbee like bridge in it's mouth, an obvious parody to the Enterprise

I haven't seen the show since it was on the air. I forgot there were others.
Enterprise 4 dogz.
I'm just now going back and watching the old EEK the cat episodes someone put in a torrent. Now that I'm 22, I actually get all the jokes

Yea I think it was the final episode titled Reigning Cats and Dogs in which it is revealed that General Parvo was himself a feline and the reason he's always coughing is because he's had a hairball in his throat all these years and a set of cat ears under his steel helmet which the Groomer finds quite attractive.
not the hairball the ears.

Oh yeah... I remeber him being a cat. I don't think I ever saw the end of that episode though. Oh well, maybe those DVDs will get their chance some day.

that was a pretty awkward moment. as Hunter would say "I never would have predicted this." and as the Warners would say "Whoa.. dumber then advertised." LOL
yay RR DVD would be WIN ;3

I would normally agree. But look at "The Tick" live-action series, which only had 9 half-hour episodes. They released that on DVD.
Maybe WB will release a nostalgic grab-bag with favorite episodes of original shows like "Histeria!", "Road Rovers", and "Freakazoid".
Chances are, it'll never happen (But I like to hope).

Road Rovers was one of my fave shows along with Tiny Toons, Animaniacs & Freakazoid. Colleen (she has my name! Yay!) and Blitz were my faves out of the show. I hope RR, TT & F! get released on DVD too after Animaniacs.

Colleen,
Never watched much of "Tiny Toons", but I seem to remember the "Ducky go down the hole" sketch vividly. I loved the animaniacs and freakazoid.
Hopefully WB will release Freakazoid and Road Rovers on DVD before I'm 90 years old.

Yeah, I do remember the witty theme song. Like the Animaniacs, you had to watch it a few times to understand the clever lyrics.
"Anaman-y, Totally Insane-y, "Come Back Shane-y", "Citizen Kane-y", "Chicken Chow Mein-y", Pinky & the Brain-y".....
I also enjoyed how, after the credits, there'd be a little joke or refference by one of the characters.

I hope so too about the DVD's.
Tiny Toons was my all time fave before anything else. It was brilliant. Everyone thought they were copyed from Looney Tunes but really they weren't. You gotta watch 'em and the theme song is fab. Here is the link on YouTube of the theme. [link]

Yeah, It might just have a revival someday. I mean Doctor Who was revived after about an 18 year hiatus over in the UK, so you never truly know.

That'd be great, Just as long as it doesn't go the way of the Ninja Turtles movies. I mean, don't get me wrong... live action fursuit-rovers would be cool, but I don't think it would work too well.

Yep I'm a fan of the Doctor. I gave it as an example, so Road Rovers might have a revival someday

The 1900s spawned quite a few fantastic television series, many of which are still popular to this day. Some of those programs are still running and are turning the next generations into fans too. Although Road Rovers was sumwhat of a "cult-classic" show, a re-run broadcast or DVD collection may respark its popularity.

Here's hoping.

I'll be hoping for it! I've already asked WB about it, so I've added my voice. Who knows? Maybe DVD sales might just be what it takes to bring them back on air. Long shot, but hey, one can hope.
