Description
full title- "Sometimes Killers Who Live at Home Write Letters"O.K. Now that we've gotten that sorted out. This took alot of back and forthing.. should i? shouldn't i?....I'm not going to sit and explain all the motivations...
Those of you watching me long enough will get it. I know this will probably upset alot of people too. Good. i'm not piddling around censoring myself to make sure i don't wound fragile psyches.....
anyhow........ this is a continuation of the sometimes killers live at home series.......
Do hold on folks, it's about to get kinda odd in here.....
mature content warning for so many reasons it's quite unfunny
edited the rant.. it was...insane....

an issolated feeling
one 'we are not supposed to be watching'
but the morbid facsination
'cant look away'
[the feeling i get from images like these... its familiar and distant at the same time
like a grotesque nostalgia that doesnt like to go away]

i it when you look at old images, and comment... i love looking at things i did almost a year ago.. it gives me perspective, and more than a few .. "huh" moments when i see what i used, and what i threw away to get to where i am... never stop ^^
thank you
and the whole attraction/ repulsion motif is a constant in my work.. it has been as long as i can remember.. it doesn't always work.. but when it does ^^

looks like it is a claustrophobic transvetite who is drowning in his own distorted visions of machinery that are suffocating and choking him. it's something unpredictable, wonderful, amazing. i love this.

Makes you feel almost unsettled. Those black eyes staring out of you, the cover of darkness leaving images to emerge. The colouring, it has all the ingredients to make the unnerving nature quite apparent! Having his hand in his mouth, almost a childlike feauture, with the perfect eyebrows and dark lips and jewelery. Plastic and soulless, with the large hands...it just...looks so unnatural...in a good way, for this picture isn't meant to feel natural. It isn't meant to sit right with you..you've done very well!

^^ Thank you .. you actually noticed some aspcts i think others missed.....sometimes when i do self-portraits, i think people gloss over the details.. you however didn't ^^ thank you... the little things.. the plastic face....... the making of a very simple shot taken in a bathroom into soemthing, unnatural ^^.. is well.... difficult, and i think alot of people missed that part .. thank you for noticing, and actually commenting ^^

Thats fine, the point of commenting is to say what you have noticed about what you can see, and the work.
It is all well saying that you like a bit, but thats not saying why you like it. I think it is more helpful to point that part out

I don't really see what's upsetting...... I mean, don't take this the wrong way but it IS kind of disturbing. You did a hell of a job getting your point across, I would say it's very nicely done. The worms in the wall were a nice touch. I shuddered when I saw it lol.

I do get a genuine feeling of anxiety looking at this... illiciting a real emotional response in me through something visual is RARE.

its a really marvelous shot ^ ^ i love it
about the mature warning thing though, when i see the deviation in my messages, it never says its mature rated until i get to the picture and its in the description only, it doesnt block the image, is it supposed to do that?

Good lord, you know this is always one of my favorite series from you. <3 And that'd make me so very upset. ;.; If people don't bother to look at or mind the warning, and then -rant- at you about how upset they were by it. *shakes head* bless your soul for being able to put up with it. I really do love this series and piece though. Silence of the Lambs mixed with Stitchpuller equals a really solid, intriguing piece. And I'm loving the new format for these. :3 Great job.

it makes you a better person for going through "should i, shouldnt i", but......not submitting this is actually supressing certain aspects of yourself and your art. how can you truly be at your fullest when you have to worry about the ramifications......mulling over what might ensue prior to submitting something on this level, and deciding not to submit? in my honest opinion, if it creates emotion or feeling in someone (whether it's a clean piece, or a wonderfully, psychologically, dirty, mind altering piece such as this), then you should be proud. i tip my bonnet to you for putting this up (you know how i feel about subjects like this so i'm squealing in delight over it).
if you haven't gathered, i love it.

It's also a bit Silence of the Lambs, which is ..just totally creepy!
Great work, as always.

mnuemonic saved me from being speechless. yes, grotesque, plastic, the calmness of being unfettered by reason. more excellent brushwork and blending, and a really strange composition that adds to the total feeling of WRONGNESS. jesushchrist.

^^ thank you ^^ .. i've been waiting to try one of these again..... ^^ i'm actually kinda creeped by it...
and i am atually dancing with glee that the wrongness exudes from it.. i think it was kinda lost in the initail shock in the originals.. now the baser horrors are creeping in ^^
