Description
Looking down on Wollongong from the Mt Keira Lookout I spotted this strong white smoke pillow emanating from a building on the industrial zone. I thought the fluffly smoke appearance combined with the many industrial buildings, ships and chimneys would make a very cute miniaturization. Miniaturization was done in post processing in photoshop using the lens blur feature. I use a smooth gradient for the blur intensity, but did some manual adjustments for large objects which I wanted in a certain layer of depth (e.g. the smoke plume was kept mostly on one focal depth layer) in order to best mimic a shallow depth of field.
