I love crocodiles. They are just about the coolest things around. Purpose-built powerhouses and predators. That's why I was giddy to get to see real live salties in Australia (even if it was in a wildlife park
).It's amazing how quickly they disappear into the muddy waters of North Queensland. I mean, it's utterly unfathomable. If you can't read the small eddies created by a croc's undulating movement underwater, you'd never know it was there. And you'd be screwed.

Haha, unless you count birds! They're pretty cool. I got to hold a 2-footer. Baby crocs are really creepy looking, at least compared to baby gators. I've always been kind of scared of crocs because people say they're much more aggressive than gators, but gators kill more people every year. I don't know the comparison per capita, though. Australia has 20 million people (going on 21 million) and Florida has 18 million. Considering the size of Australia, and the range of the saltie within it, it kind of makes sense that there'd be more gator encounters than saltie encounters.

Whoa! Crikey mate. I heard the funniest thing on Carlos Mencia. Just imagine the great Croc. Hunter saying this. "Here I am in the middle of the jungle with the worlds deadliest Python. This snake is so deadly that just one bite would be the end of me. See those piercing eyes, he's watching me real close mate, I'm just going to reach down here and play with his balls". Hahahaha.
