Nice sketches! Don't be afraid to work bigger so that you have more room to introduce detail, such as more shading and definition to the eyes. Birds of prey have such expressive eyes, it can really make your drawing pop if you pay extra attention to them. Extra contrast will help too. For that, pay attention to lighting, and put less detail/feathers in brighter areas, and go with darker or thicker lines in shaded areas. Feathers are difficult to draw, but I think you have a good grasp of them. Just keep practicing and your drawings will become even better
