I haven't been feeling very inspired when it comes to making art lately, but the other day I was struck with some interest to design a team of Inklings, and I knew what I wanted to base them off of - the Halogen family of the periodic table! Which shouldn't be a shocker given my username (X P)

Team Halogen aren't very competitive Inklings. They’re just a bunch of nerds, really, who get together to play Turf War and increase their skills.
Fluorine (in teal) is the team leader. She’s energetic and diligent, and is the one who brought the whole group together. She teaches tennis classes at Mussleforge Fitness to young squids. Organized, athletic and cheerful, she hates to give up, even when the cards are down. She mains the Inkbrush.

Chlorine (in lime) is a student at Inkblot Art Academy. He likes to seem mysterious and tough, but really he’s Aerospray trash who loves his friends. Careful, honest and a bit of a procrastinator. He studies sculpture and often asks his teammates to help inspire him.
Bromine (in magenta) is the youngest of the group, who recently came to Inkopolis and got a job as a receptionist at Shellendorf Institute. He’s innocent and shy, and while not particularly skilled, he occasionally has moments of brilliance in a match. He mains the Carbon Roller.
Iodine (in violet) is the oldest and the one who’s been around Inkopolis the longest. She used to work at Kelp Dome but quit to become a full-time freelancer at Grizzco. Very strategic but laid-back, she doesn’t mind picking up the slack of her other teammates. She mains the Splat Brella.

It was fun to come up with their designs and personalities! It definitely gave me some creative energy that I feel I've been lacking for the past few weeks.
