Name: Chameli Thuri (Meli)

Personality: Meli doesn't trust anyone except her mother and Shani. She's usually quiet, blunt, and curt. Until you win her favour, she'll make it very clear she doesn't like you. She's fond of the more hipsterish side of clothing, but doesn't drink coffee unless it's loaded with sugar and only listens to top hits. She very rarely makes friends; in fact, Shani is the only friend she's managed to have for more than a few scant weeks. She's often the one to pull Shani out of danger, be it physical, emotional, or imagined. She doesn't drink at all, and despises smoking.

Oh, and pokemon trainers.

History: Meli lived a quiet life in Goldenrod, helping her mother in her flower shop every day after school, until she was sixteen. Then, her sentret met another sentret, and the two didn't seem to want to stop playing. The strange sentret's owner introduced herself, and managed to convince Meli to leave her mother and her quiet life behind to become the one thing in society she's always hated. The two have been inseparable ever since. Though she didn't tell Shani for a long time, Meli was about to join Team Rocket when they first met. She feels somewhat indebted to her friend for saving her from a life of crime.

While Meli won't tell you herself why she hates pokemon trainers, it's easy enough to get out of Shani. According to the other girl, Meli's father up and left when she was just five, wanting to live his dream of becoming a great pokemon trainer. He left her with a single pokeball, but nothing else, and is constantly writing bother Meli and her mother for more money. The man can't seem to beat any gym past the second in any league, even though he keeps traveling to different regions and starting over to try again.

For some reason, Meli still answers his few calls and letters, despite the fact that the man can't even remember when her birthday is.

Other:
-Meli gets warm easily, and prefers to wear lighter outfits.
-Is very, very fond of fashion.
-Dresses Shani half the time.
-Does not appreciate insinuations her hair isn't natural (it is).
-Definitely a lesbian. Fosters a hefty dislike of men in general.
-Hates Rockets even more than trainers.

Chameli's last pokemon, in order of when she found them. The ditto was oddly enamored with Meli, and didn't fight back at all when she tossed the ball. She's usually in the form of a natu (a carbon copy of Anila), and loves to fly about. Has been with Meli for about four months at the start of the competition.

Meli's first pokemon. She befriended the sentret many years after her father left, but used the pokeball he had given her. The two are very close, and have been together for six years. Amita likes to lay across Meli's shoulders, with her head on one shoulder and her feet and tail resting on the other. She loves to play and sleep. Since meeting Nibbles, has rarely closed her eyes. Often falls asleep with them open.

Meli's second pokemon. Again, Meli didn't have to battle at all to capture the baby bird. She just picked the tiny, sleeping thing off the ground and walked off with it. Anila had only just hatched when she was pushed out of her nest by over zealous siblings, and considers Meli to be her mother. The little baby isn't even a year old, yet. Her favourite thing to do is play her games, which are actually designed to help her in battle. In these games, she is almost always teleporting, and has to retrieve an object without getting caught. Other games involve her optimizing her protective abilities. Anila's favourite people are those who play her games with her, though she doesn't realize that she's usually battling.

All of Chameli's pokemon are trained to defend. They often get Shani out of some fairly hard places.
