Description
With the Adobe Lightroom 4 Beta coming out this week, it got me to thinking about how much they stress the location tagging of your photos. Another thing I noticed is the new Facebook "Timeline" release allows you to tag the location of your photos on a visual map. It got me to thinking, shouldn't dA have these features too?My Proposal/suggestion is the following:
Why dA needs to include this feature:
With more and more cameras shipping with built-in GPS technology, and with more applications such as Lightroom and Facebook, or even competitor photo sharing websites such as Flickr implementing these features, it is only practical that deviantArt gets 'in the loop' and up to date with today's newest technologies.
Not to mention, This is just simply a cool feature to have! Having the ability to see an image of a not-so-recognizable location but in a familiar area and then know exactly where it is would not only be useful but fun too!
-The right column is only screenshots from Adobe Lightroom 4, showing where these features are located.
-The location along with information in the "Camera Data" tab was manually edited in myself, this is not native to dA.

Yeah but then when we start colonizing other planets, will this actually be useful?

That sounds like a great idea! I'd love to be able to add location, but at least have it optional in case I do not wish to share that information.
