Description
Being a group owner, I know that it is essential to have interaction with your members. Right now when a new member joins I message them on their profile and welcome them to my group, but what I am proposing is that on the usual accepted message shown on the top, is that group owners/admins should be allowed to add text within that.. giving a welcome message to the people in the group. My suggestion text I put in blue, which obviously would be a different color... but its a thoughtON ANOTHER NOTE... Whats up with the app pictured in the bottom... Thats an installable app on the admin page of your group. What does it do? When I install it, it does nothing more than what a Custom box would do. Why is this app here dA is it for welcoming my admins? Why would I want to welcome my admins to the admin area... Groups are made up of mostly members, not admins... the members are the ones I want to welcome not the people that are supposed to be running it
To dA, I assure you that any admin in a group got a proper introduction from the person that invited them... they dont need a widget.
I dont know what this widget does.. or why its there. Its just a Custom box. Make it do something.. o.o please. lol
my suggestion with this app, is to have it broadcast the message to new members.

Pure genius. I have a feeling this would become one of the most widely used widgets if it's made available. I know I would and I run six different groups and admin in a few more. lol

I really like the idea of this message, esp for members who don't have access to the backroom of a group where more might be explained
It would probably work as well, if the message was on a white/brighter background to be visible enough when in the message center
I quite like the widget in question, I have many groups with admins and having a sort of guideline in the backroom when someone new joins is very helpful I usually add links to journals or backroom forums in there, so for me it works very well

Thank you for the feedback! When I get home later I will make those changes, I like it
Since you are a CV, would it be too much to ask if you helped suggest this as a DD for DA-Related? ^^

You're welcome
The best way for you to go about this, is to actually suggest yourself Most CVs have no problem with self-suggestions, and I am sure ^ladygagz will appreciate your note

Well, since it says 'welcome new members', maybe it's just for the admins to welcome their members, you know, using all the HTML codes in a Custom Box..like you put a welcoming picture I guess? I'm not sure lol
