I adore the edginess of this; how the darkness all around has the centre just closing in. You can almost taste Roger's fear just looking at it. Matt's threatening enough, but then you get to his shadow... WOW! You conveyed the scene better than the original! *points to the picture* THAT'S what I was trying to say.

i'm really glad you like the piece. to be honest, i had a couple of troublesome days trying to figure out how the hell do i fit matt, roger and mello in a scene if... if it's not a video clip. or the pic doesn't rotate XDD
so, my inner mello said - who the fuck needs roger anyway.
mello. right, according to your matt - the real ricochetting shit will take a shape of mello, so here he is. i knew mello WAS in the scene when i read the story, just couldn't grasp the idea until you helped me out
*thinks* - and that's why matt's hand, not a gun. to accent the real trouble.
*scratches her chin, looking up* - surprisingly, random abstract details, such as "hmm, i could do the barrel look like a fear-filled dilated pupil" or "maybe mello should drip off the ceiling like some snake or a black inevitable essence of surrounding fatal darkness?"... such ideas seemed to turn into a glitzy redundant fake O_o
"matt kills himself - mello kills you" formula is scary enough with even mello's shadow behind the promise.

No, you did it so perfectly. Now, I'm not an art critic. Give me a piece of literature and I can rip it apart right down to the punctuation, then put it back together again to show you what it's made of, but art... sadly no.
However, with yours I got straight away that this was a Roger's eye view of the world. I saw the darkness as that world closing in on him and on this big decision right in front of him. I saw Matt's hand as both representative of the gun and also as a gesture people make when referring to someone a little insane. Roger wouldn't have put it past Matt to pull the trigger because he watched him break before. I thought the gesture was Roger thinking, 'Matt might just be mad enough...' The shadow threat of Mello is just perfectly done. Really.
I love your abstract ideas! 8D
Slave/master story? What is it generally? Or where is one concerning Mello and Matt? I'm sure I can help there, cariad, once I've clarified the requirements. *takes lighter* *grins*
