Arguing, swearing, insulting
Making jokes and laughter
I don’t really listen, just hear
I understand, but don’t comprehend
In one ear, out the other
It’s what I hear every day
As the time slowly passes
Waiting for a way home
If one speaks directly to me
I answer subconsciously
Not really knowing, or caring
About the birds chattering around me
