Something like that, yes... I went to UCF (in Orlando Florida... I don't know where RSAD is, lol) My instructor's called it "inner cross" to find the major points of reference in the figure. Thanks!!

thank you... that's the predominate way they tought us... unfortunately I'm having to teach myself the volumetric way of drawing... blahh.

Nice work and study of the figure.
Like the way you have created strong marks on the joints of the figure and the edge of the chair.

Excellent sense of form here while using minimal shading. It's all in the lines. I really like the line quality too. I was a little distracted by the black smudges at first, but I upon closer inspection, I think that it does a lot for the sense of atmosphere in the composition.
