Derby is a hard-working pokemon, always looking for the next best job. They usually take up positions as a mechanic, fixing things in a timely manner for customers. They always deliver 110% of their time to whatever job he does, and even does bonus jobs for customers to maintain long-term customers. When grub is not working however, they tend to keep to themselves. He does his best to not depend too heavily on others, with the exception of jobs in exchange for currency. Most of grub's life is highly devoted to these jobs with no sense of self-preservation. Derby can work for hours on end without a break, often leaving them in a tired, fatigued state. But they will always jump on a job in a whim, regardless of his state. It all stems from their desire to return home and see his family happy again.

Island Name & Hometown:
Derby grew up in a small, now destroyed village of Acacia, on Sapwood Island.
History:
Derby, the youngest of three siblings, grew up in the vast and rich lands of Sapwood Island with their parents. Trees dominated the island far and wide, making the local residents depend on the trees for shelter and resources. They would learn to live in harmony with all the animals in the forest as well, building alongside them instead of against them. However, when Derby and his brothers were young deforestation was becoming more widespread and the trees were needed on other islands. Acacians were forced to move from their homes they lived in for centuries, and watch their tree homes be taken down. While packing up to leave, Derby got lost and was met with a great machine meant for cutting down trees. He lost his hand that day and barely managed to escape with his brother, Davion.

With their lives disrupted, their parents brought them to the port city of Ethlovalon in hopes to start up a shop of their own. Derby works diligently to earn enough money to help out grub's parents by working odd jobs around the city. Their eventual goal is get back to Acacia and rebuild the old village they were born in. They also want to help their parents' upcoming mechanic shop grow and spread the word. Derby sees the GSCF as a way to earn a proper wage at a faster rate then he is now. His brothers, Davion and Pascal, are also a part of teams under GSCF making their own paths and dreams a reality.

Relationships:
Davion [npc] - Derby's older brother ! They are very close and Davion tends to worry about Derby the most. Is also a rescuer.
Pascal [npc] - Derby's oldest brother ! Pascal tends to pick on Derby more but still loves his sibling a lot. Is a bounty hunter.
Inventory:
Bandages, small tools [mini screwdriver, pliers] and a picture of Acacia.
Extras:
Derby's left hand is replaced with a prosthetic ! This is the hand they lost as a child. Davion helped him build this model.
Pretty much just accepts that he's short at this point. Easy for running past people and cramming into tight spaces though !
Has a little tail ! It's hard to see from the front but a little grub nub sticks out by his lower back. It tends to wiggle when they're happy !
Loves the smell of flowers ! It calms grub down and usually allows them to sleep easier. Their favourite flower is lavender !
