I can see Snowflake being his nickname with the guys at the gym. It might not be his actual name, but he earned "Snowflake."

Hmm, neat idea, but I like this one better; he wasn't born with bulk biceps as his name suggests, he was born a normal healthy baby pegasus, pure white like a snowflake, so his parents named him that. When he grew he got teased not only because of his unmasculine name but because of his gentle nature that was easy to bully, so he started working out and gaining those muscles so that ponies would stop teasing him. He ended up getting this intimidating exterior, but deep down inside he's still a nice, gentle pony~
