Every time I thought of Otacon and Naomi in MGS4, I kept imagining Snake with an increasingly >: [ expression. So I had to find a way to incorporate that in to a picture. God, 6 years later and I'm still just as invested in the happiness of these video game nerds. I try not to think about the fact that it's now 2015 and what that means for Snake's lifespan...though with the release of MGSV I can't help but think of the wonderful possibilities that parasites present for keeping someone alive and restoring their appearance...

Geez, now I've got some cleaning up to do, because I think my head just exploded. Whether you're a Snake/Otacon pairing follower or not, you have to admit that the bit where Snake rolls over all grumpy is heartbreaking. You have to be made of stone not to pick up on the third-wheeliness of the whole scene. I myself hate feeling like a third wheel, as I'm sure everybody does. Being in a confined space like the Nomad in that situation would be excruciating for me.
Snake's this-really-sucks-but-i'll-just-deal-with-it expression at the end, the way he bursts in with a DAMN STRAIGHT, and the fact that he's all young again in his daydream... there is so much detail to love in this picture

This reminds me of a fic I read a while back (a couple of fics, actually) and I dunno if this makes me giggle or cringe O_o The piece in itself is very pretty, cute fluffy chibi-ish style on Snake's dreams and the more-realistic style on the last panel increasingly handsome. But the story here just makes me go >8 I felt so sorry for Otacon and Snake most of MGS4, and was constantly hoping that Snake would just make it CLEAR that he still wants and loves Otacon, but no~
Anyway, this made me giggle (right 'till we saw Snake's grumpy face) and then feel sad, but it also gave me good mood because it's so pretty

It amuses me no end that there can be this much accuracy in terms of Snake's face and thoughts towards that point in the game in a piece of fan art. Hideo Kojima was TOTALLY going for this.
