Description Finally finished all twelve of the Dragon Paws for the 3 plushes. Now they just need attaching to the feet. Still such a long way until completion of these plushes, but at least I'm doing what I can, when I can.

How did you keep the claws from moving when sewing them on? Did you sew one on at a time? Also, my fabric doesn't want to move when I'm sewing, the foot presser seems either too tight, the fabric too thick, or the feed dogs don't work that well.

It's really hard, lol. I place all the claws on the foot bottom piece to see how I want it to start out. And then take them off except from the first one I want to sew, and carefully set it up on the sewing machine. As I sew I pick up each claw and do one after the other as I sew them on. It takes a lot of forcing and pressure, because my claws are pretty thick. Too thick for what my sewing machine was designed for, so it doesn't slide automatically for me either with the claws. Quite a few swears have been said during this step.

Haha, I've sworn plenty while trying this step as well. They always want to turn on the fabric (I too, an using Ultra Cuddle) so the claws come out crooked. Meaning, I have to make new claws and start over.
Do you use a pressure foot? The fabric doesn't move AT ALL through the machine when it's down.
Also, can you tell me how you made your wings and fins? How do you get the "points/fingers" to really stick out? Also, how do you make/stuff the wing arms?

Don't know if this would be any easier, but have you ever considered using resin for the claws?

Yeah I've thought about it. I may try it someday, cause they do look good when done right. I try to keep the number of hard objects in the plushes as minimal as possible, which is why I haven't made posable wings yet.

Looks amazing so far! At least some of the worst parts are over.

Thank you. Yeah anything having to do with the claws are the worst parts. The spikes are a pain to do as well. These will look crazy good though when attached.

Yeah, they look crazy good not attached!
I was lazy when I made my spikes, and didn't double them, so they were really easy. I'm not going to do that next time I make one, though. Doesn't look as nice.
