Description
This is the primary weapon of the President of the Sol Dominion's son, who is in the Naval Infantry, in my futuristic sci-fi story. The President's son is a staff sergeant in the 1st Naval Infantry Regiment (Regiments are the main unit for the NI, by the way, in their force structure), and carries this Mk 18 battle rifle, modded as such. It is chambered in 7.62x51, and is heavier than the FA68's 6.8 mm round, but is contained in an assault rifle type package. It's handguard and stock lighten the gun just enough to where it is still controllable in somewhat sustained fire, and accurate with its longer barrel. The rails facilitate a number of optics, however the staff sergeant qualified with holographic optics and a foregrip, in advanced rifle training.

The staff sergeant's squad is as follows:

7 Riflemen
-6 with FA68A1 6.8 mm assault rifles
-1 staff sergeant with Mk 18 battle rifle

2 Support gunners with FA68M light machine guns

1 Designated Marksman with FA68DM DMR
