here it is folks! bash's 2017 summary of art!! i'm really happy with this year since i drew more, drew my ocs more, and made finished pieces for almost every month!! well. not february but hey i was trying ;w;
this year i participated in a lot of group projects; four to be exact! i admit, it got stressful a few times, but i had a bunch of fun doing it, and seeing your art among the others made for the project is such a nice feeling! this year's art also consisted of a lot of warm colors, especially pinks and oranges. soft backgrounds and pretty sunsets both appear a good number of times haha
anyways now to talk about these drawings

january - a pretty good start to the year! i got my first copics here and the colors i had just begged to be used for ruby
february - i never finished anything in february, but i loved how calum turned out in this one, so naturally i had to put my high entia son
march - the fire emblem girl collab!! this was really fun to do aaaahh i love florina so much
april - REN REN REN REN REN RE
may - another year, another transistor anniversary piece for may! this is one of my favorite drawings from this year! i strayed from my norm and tried to do something super nice for transistors birthday this year, and i am so so happy with the result. it has over 360 notes on tumblr now!!! wowee!!!!
june - oh my GOD i started yu yu hakusho towards the beginning of summer with my good friend kate and LORD i was not expecting to love kurama so much. he's so amazing god absolutely blessed
july - a lot of my drawings from july were traditional except for some favorite characters i drew for a thing on twitter. i think meru came out the best out of them!
august - HATSUNE MIKU IS 10 YEARS OLD IM SO PROUD OF HER (and don't worry i didn't miss rin and len's birthday i just haven't finished their art yet lmao)
september - OH BOY september.... this was probably the busiest month of the year for me! this was when most of my art obligations were, all at the same time, and my motivation plummeted to a really depressing low. and yet despite it all i pushed through and managed to complete all of those drawings! (and started on a couple others to procrastinate lol)
october - october was a hard art month for me since i was in a completely different country for most of it! i had wanted to do oc-tober this year and managed to complete three drawings, but that's about it. as soon as i got home i super rushed to complete this miku for the halloween collab, and im glad she turned out nicely!
november - this was a really chill month in terms of art so i just kicked back, relaxed, and drew some meme bullshit. outside of art this month was kind of bad, but hey at least i got a darios drawing out of it!
december - and here we are at the end of the year. a couple of my drawings from this month are ones that i started way earlier in the year, both miki and kurama being from around late august/early september. i actually had planned to do a lot more this month, especially because of rin and len's 10th anniversary, but motivation is a fickle son of a bitch and i ran out of time before i could finish three of my projects :') SOON THOUGH........ soon..........

yeah. good times. so anyways! that's about all i got. 2017 was a pretty good year for me (though maybe at the end it started spiraling a little bit,,) and i did a lot of things! i quit dance, i started standing up for myself more, i met an online friend irl, finally saw half of my family for the first time, got a cintiq, made a bunch of new friends, and lots more! so overall, with irl stuff and art stuff put together, i'd say 2017 did good. a good egg. i can't wait to see what happens in 2018 and i hope everyone has a happy new year!!
