Ingrid Johnson was a strange character, she never wore what the popular kids believed which trend was in, nor clothes that were black with skulls and ripped from top to bottom. Not Ingrid, she was one of those quiet girls who sat in the back of the classroom, a simple life, with parents and a spoiled little brother for a sibling, this was her quiet life and she enjoyed it. It was not till the day when the two most popular girls in her class decided to sit near the back, Lisa and Sarah, they were fairly pretty with the mounts of makeup they on, both blonde it was hard to tell who was who, but they were at least nice to your face. Ingrid tried everything to focus on what the teacher was saying but the gossiping from the two in front of her were getting more and more louder, she didn't understand why the teacher couldn't hear their high pitched giggles and didn't dare to confront them with their loudness, so she sat there watching the clock waiting for the thirty minute class to finish. The class seemed to go on a drag with those two yapping, but then with ten minutes to the end Ingrid Johnson heard what no fifteen year old should ever hear, 'Lisa have you got the money for the smokes?' said Sarah suddenly gone very quiet 'No I have my eye on something better' 'what?' Lisa sat back in her chair and looked around for a minute, but never looked back where Ingrid was sitting and leaned down once more to Sarah and whispered 'a few grams of cocaine'.
'What! We can't do that Lisa!' 'Why not I saw my brother do it before, it's only a drug it will wear off', Sarah sat there frozen as well with Ingrid, ambiguous to Ingrid's near presences Lisa carried on 'come on Sarah no one has to know, let's just try it out then be done with it' Sarah with a scarce look knew Lisa was headed for trouble and when the last bell of the day rang Sarah turned to her, 'I will not be your little follower anymore! You do it and ruin your own life, I'm out!' 'Fine by me!', but if you actually do change your mind which you will, find me at the back of the sports hall right away' Sarah gave a final sharp eye to Lisa before whipping her golden blonde hair behind leaving in rage, 'slut' Lisa said under her breath and followed out the door. Ingrid still sat there, books still out, completely fazed of what just happened, but for Johnson she was quick and clever for someone of her age and knew she should tell someone right away. She knew all the teachers and the principle wouldn't give a care in the world to her story and probably didn't know she existed in the school, so she got out her phone and called the police. She made the call out to be as if she was in trouble, worried and trembling in fear, then hanged up on them when she finished talking, she thought it was very rude of her to do that and felt calling back but it was the only way to make them listen to a teenager. For Ingrid she was a caring person, who always looking out for others rather than herself, even in this case for Lisa. Lisa made life's just like Ingrid's a living nightmare, but Ingrid felt everyone should have chance to change and she was not going to let Lisa change her life for the worse, she pushed what remained on her desk into her bag then hurried into the corridor which had students filling it up by the minute, without time to waste Ingrid pushed her way to Lisa's locker but she was too late, she had gotten her books and gone.
Ingrid didn't even look at her locker when she past it to get to the back door, she had heard Lisa talking about the sports hall and that's where she planned to be. Finally outside she could quickly get to the hall in no time and approached with great caution, she slid around the edge only poking her eyes out from the corner and quickly pulled back before she was seen, in her quick glance she saw Lisa waiting impatiently, with relief that Lisa was still alone and started to turn around the corner but then stopped herself when she heard a man's voice. 'What up sugar?' 'Well have you got it!?' 'take it easy girl, I have it right here, but where's my money first?' 'Here take it' 'What this is this crap!? This is less than half!' 'Well my friend bailed with the money so its all I have' 'Well thing is honey, if you don't got my money, you don't get the goods' 'fine keep it, its probably trash just like you', Ingrid prayed Lisa wouldn't be her narky self but it was too late, she heard a blow to the face with faded scream. Her heart pumping crazy, Ingrid jumped out of the corner and saw Lisa on the ground with a blooded nose 'Lisa!' she screamed, she was still lingering on the ground but could barely speak, without hesitation Ingrid ran to her side trying to stop the blood with her jumper, 'You! you this girl that bailed with my money!?'
The man was only a couple of years older than Lisa and herself but could deliver a hard blow. 'Look what you did! You psycho!' she screamed, Ingrid stood up to face the man but he was too tall and made her tremble in fear, pushing her fear away she began punching the man again and again in the stomach, 'oh you're adorable' he said with wicked laughter, but before he made a move, Ingrid's punches moved lower to his very sensitive area and made a huge smack on him. He howled with pain falling to the ground, 'you bitch!' he called out in pain but Ingrid took no notice and ran to Lisa's aid trying to pick her up. Wrapping Lisa's arm around her, Ingrid told her to move quickly but she was too broken to move, 'come on Lisa we need to go! Now!' she shouted, but before they got anywhere Ingrid received a tap on the back and got turned around, it was the man with tears running down his face, pushing Lisa away from Ingrid, he punched Ingrid as hard as he could watching her fall backwards, hitting her head off the side of the pavement, as the police lights entered the school lane, with fear in the man's eyes he jumped the school's fence and ran off down the street. Ingrid laid there with her head split open looking right at Lisa, her final words to her was to only run and Lisa responded by crying next to, 'Ingrid I'm sorry!' she mourned 'I'm sorry...' Ingrid Johnson may have given second chance to change Lisa's life but she herself didn't receive a second chance to live.
