Almost finishing with the new Power Rangers art, as well as the new art for this week, we have today's Keyblade, which is based off of the new Power Rangers movie for the 30th anniversary, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Once and Always. As divisive as people are about this, I can honestly say that as a strong fan of Power Rangers, the movie was indeed awesome. There have been hits and misses with the other anniversary celebrations in the past, but I feel that we got enough dedication from the cast and crew, now in the hands of a more capable and creative company, to make the right special. It was so great to see the original members back together, even if they were not all the original Rangers. It was still nice to have a mix of the originals, Stone Canyon Trio, and Kat together for this, with Minh being a great addition to the cast, since her actress is a real-life martial artist. Plus, we are getting hints of another movie, which could hopefully have Minh in it, so I can't wait for that. For this movie, I created the Once and Always Keyblade. The blade is made of one of the Power Lances, with the Power Daggers as the teeth. The guard is made from the blades and the handle of the Power Axe, the chains being the colors of the original six Rangers, and the token for the keychain being Trini's Morpher. This took me a while to piece together. I originally wanted to do all of the weapons together, but remembered the Power Cannon, and instead changed it so that it focused on the three Rangers who were the stars of the movie. Still, it turned out perfectly. For this, the user has access to the powers of the Triceratops, Mastodon and Sabertooth Tiger, being able to use any of their weapons, which includes the Power Cannon and a stronger version of Billy's Anti-Sonic Foam Gun. Form Changes include the Power Cannon, Power Axe, Power Lances, Power Daggers, the stronger and more combat version of the Anti-Sonic Foam Gun mentioned, the Mega Power Sword, and the weapons of the other Rangers, including the ones captured by Robo Rita.
