Description
Can any one of us stand alone?Another from the same series as Chance Meeting. In my art, I find myself exploring themes of anthropomorphizing ordinary objects. It's a challenge to me, but something I really enjoy. I hope you like this one.

Brilliant. I might suggest you put the "Can any one of us stand alone?" somewhere in the picture (lower left hand corner... hmm... cursive-ish (?)... white...), so you don't have to read the info to help get the message, but... brilliant. I like.

yeah i hate putting text on my photos. then it becomes a design as opposed to a photo. i think the photo's message should be clear, and if it's ambiguous, that's cool too. people can make their own meaning for the photo, and i'm just as happy with that

Wow such a great macro shot. The color makes is really bold. But for some reason my favorite part is the shadow. I just really like the way it streaks off the fork. So sharply too.

Can't figure out how the hell you got that lighting. Nice job. Though it looks a bit like you're spoofing the opening to Gran Turismo 3. (Maybe you've played it?)

Nope, never played that. But the light in this shot comes from behind with a single flash. The surface is a piece of carboard bent into a curve, so it makes the light look very interesting. Thanks for the comment!

Hey man very nice, love the soft textured paper used as the floor, and the light source sharp enough to create some interesting shadows caused by the fork. I never knew a kitchen untensil could look so lonely.

The shadows are amazing!! I really like how you have a meaning behind it too. I see how the forks relate you your statement. Me like alot

beautiful execution -- what really makes it for me is 1) the reflection of the spot coming off the tines of the foreground fork 2) the texture of the psyc
I've only been here for a few hours, but so far I've included constructive criticism in every comment...I'm afraid that I'm not able to do that for you

Definitely like the fork theme, ne? I like the lighting in this one, brings out the textures nicely. Good contrast as well, between the forks and the 'ground'. The glow effect is an especially nice touch. Well done.

i've been lookin at this for like...umm, must be at least 2 days now (i have my comp on 24/7 usually and keep windows open and...) and i still can't figure what is the background or whatever the fork is leaning on....*is puzzled*
well i love the style of course, blue tone, simplicity, 'coolness' of it. composition, softness of the light despite shadows... i know i have lots to learn...

oh, and the light reflected off the tines, back on the the paper or whatever, I love that, gave me ideas of how to manipulate the lighting in 3D rendering to make it look more real.

The reasons I added this to my faves:
The textural juxtaposition
The minimalism
The danching light that's so very still
The inventive and original composition
It's odd, I keep faving blue pieces, but I am so anti-blue these days. Dont ask why.

the fork came back, the very next day, the fork came back, it just couldn't stay awayyyyy...
*ahem* yes, right. lovely photo really enjoying the lighting. Kind of looks like one fork is hiding behind the other fork when they face their judgement or something o.O
or i'm on crack. either way, it is a lovely photo
