This is realy very skillful art with an impact. There's some quite beautiful texture work - your fur and patterning on the wolf stands out as wild and frenzied, lurching and heaving and swirling from one place on the body to another - just like the angry water you focus on, which helps us to make the visual connection between the two at a deeper level besides the vine-line tendrils that bind him to the water. You've actually helped give it a very nature-ish feel by crossing the patterning of plants with the elements of water, which strengthens your idea of water as a natural, powerful force, as mighty as the roots of the trees. What really stands out is your strong anatomical focus on the body - this is the strength of the work - I can see the way the creature's back arches, the size and power of the muscles beneath his skin, the way he turns to us and the way those beady, glowing eyes stare us down. The sea itself has spawned this hunter - and we don't want to cross it!!
Technically, your perspective shortening on the hind legs gives it a dramatic point of view and the work is all the more consistent and believable for it. This is some really great, skillful work with a real vision to it - congratulations! The only gripe I have is your water texturing, which looks far more like a blanket or silk to me than the waves, but that can be difficult (or you could have stylised it, kudos) and it doesn't detract from the image. Well done and keep it up!
