More Caldyra artwork an story:
This last barricade of defense was nothing more than a slight delay for these monsters. Another tremendous explosion shook the foundation of the city’s wall, this time with devastating consequences.Giant blocks of stone rumbled down, crushing those who stood to close to the wall as the surrounding fire had forced people to move hopelessly within the former market square. There was panic all around, people had no means to defend themselves. Only a handful of soldiers were present, their faces marked with fear and utter disbelieve. Ninae fought to stay close to Rotgar and Borus even though the air was thick of dust and smoke as people pushed their way away from the opening that had formed from the wall’s collapse. As the dust slowly settled the firelight revealed the horrifying towering silhouettes of the Khalon cannibals climbing over the stone remains. Their eyes glowing blue and their mouths screeching their fearsome battlecries that would set any seasoned soldier to fright. People were being snatched like chickens in a foxhole as Ninae gripped Rotgar tightly by his arm. He looked at her and gave her a faint smile, as if he knew there was no positive ending to this. Borus struck down the first cannibal that approached them with a single blow of his ax. Ninae took her sword in both hands as they got surrounded by the fearsome beasts. There was no other way but forward into the flames, into the smell of burning flesh, into the sound of men and women screaming as if hell itself has manifested in Azmera.

This must be the multi-character battle scene you mentioned. Looks really good! And once again it looks like it was piece of cake for you to create (but I know that's not the case)

Thanks! Yes it is! The setup was done quite easily and fast... but the whole lighting, rendering, anatomy aspect took quite some brainpower.

Mostly analyzing things.
I don't need to work on my painthand that much anymore, so simply looking at things and learning form it does the trick for me now.
So I'm simply doing lots of research whenever I paint something new.
