Oof, it's a good tutorial but it was difficult to read. Perhaps a font without the use of small caps and without shadow? I can give you some tipps for readability if you like.

Yes, you are right! Even traditional uses layer principle the differences with digital is, in my opinion, the fact you work separately with layers while in traditional you work as a single unit.
