More Anne of Green Gables art. I know people watch me for and want me to do more Doctor Who fanart, but to be honest, I'm a bit burned out on it after doing nothing BUT for more than a year. I'm sure I'll come back to it sometime, but I need a break. And Anne!art is certainly helping in that regard.This would be after Anne and Gil come back from Queen's, probably around 16 years old. I just had this picture in my head of Anne getting her first short story published in the Avonlea newspaper, and the first person she saw on the way home was Gil...

Perfect costumes in this one, her hat is darling! Dah your interaction in the comments is so cheesy and cute, he was always so enamored by her! I bet something like this really would have happened. Its very nice to see them together in the early stages

I've probably read the first three books three times a piece- they never cease to amaze me L.M. Montgomery just knows how to write, that's that. This picture is adorable and so are the expressions. Well done! (:

I always loved "Anne of Green Gables" when I was little . . . tho' I thought she was a bit hard on Gil.

Anne of Green Gables (and it's sequels) are a series of novels by turn-of-the-century Canadian author L.M. Montgomery. I've seen people lump her works in with other "period" dramatic novels like Austen and so-forth, but they're not exactly of the same breed.
Anne is available to read for FREE on the internet if you search for the novels in Project Gutenberg or other online archives, as they are now public domain (the first "Anne" book is 100 years old this year :3)
Anne was also made into couple of two-part CBC/PBS movies back in the mid-eighties. Most people here my age or older have probably seen them at least once.
