Matte Painting for opening scene of my short for Animation Masters final year.Mixture of 3D renders, photos with painting and hand drawn textures. CS4. about 4 hours
In the animation the camera comes down through other cubic moons and cloud banks to reveal this matte, then the scene fades to the planet surface where the story begins...

the clouds are good. though the rocks are really clear in some spots and really blurry in the others.

thx for the crit, always helpful! yeh still needs some tweaking, i want to extend the background too into the distance, have more planets etc..
