When the wind starts singing fresh spring hymns, when Dark meadow covers with blooming buds and the sky above it blooms with stars, when the new Moon shows its smiling crescent like the Night itself smiles to the word beneath, the air is filling with furry little dots shooting here and there like black lightnings. If you’re a young witch it’s the best time for trying to get yourself a lifetime familiar curious and loyal because these are new moon’s bat younglings, coming for their first night dance and for meeting humans. These bats have been following witches for ages fulfilling orders, carrying some light post and bringing herbs, insects and berries for potions. No wonder there are so many witches around the meadow spreading their arms widely and whispering their true names in hope for at least one bat choses their hand for landing. However coming there, everyone has to remember: getting the bat’s friendship, you also get the duty to feed it, to take care about it and to protect it from any harm while it’s sleeping. Everyone who breaks this ancient agreement becomes cursed to their very end. Careful, witchy things brook no irresponsibility!
