Description
Hey guys! I wanted to show you all how I color my drawings. Make sure you download to see in a better view!Step 1. I finish the lineart and choose the colors I want. This is Sarec, he is a black and white/grey dog so I choose a dark shade of grey and a lighter shade of grey/white. I fill it in with the base colors, the darkest shade.
Step 2. I then choose the brush and the lighter shade of the colors, I started with the white/grey and gently brushed over a layer with a low Density and a min size of the brush. In this step I tried following somewhat the direction of how the fur goes.
Step 3. I raised the density of the brush and went over it all over again, making sure I didn't overlap the entire base color.
Step 4. I chose a lighter color of the White/Grey and raised the density a little bit more and lowered the min size of the brush to 0%, that way I could get finer lines that would resemble the fur lines. In this part I put in effort into making sure that the direction I was stroking the brush matched with how the fur flowed throughout his body.
Step 5. In this part i'm techniqually done. All that is missing is the extra details such as coloring in the nose, teeth, eyes etc.
In the finished drawing (I will post it right after this) I put in the final details such as the higlights, background etc.
I'm sorry if I suck at explaining stuff, it's not my best talent lol, but I hope you atleast got something out of this
