Poster for my final year project @__@ SO MUCH WORK GAH!! anyways this is teh main character of the fiction im doing for my project which remains titleless still - . - Can you guys help me figure out a title through it's themes? The themes are, freedom, duty and sacrifice xD Preferably something on a broader scale and less linear D: any help at all will be greatly appreciated>; D
sorry the background is a little simple, wanted to keep it that way and save time >.<

The background is complimented by the detail of the rocks. Skies when put in that position are fine when they don't have a lot of detail. It draws more focus to the main character.
As for the title... Rainbow March State and Sacrifice. idk why, that just struck me as a title. ._.

As for the title... well, speaking as an author, titles usually need to be about more than just the themes of the story, otherwise it'll come off as too generic. I'd need to know more about the story as a whole to suggest anything appropriate. Will you be putting any of it up on dA?

ahhh umm perhaps i'll share a brief summary with you first because it's still very messy D:
Well to put it simply, it's about these two samurai clans at war with each other, one has the advantage of advanced technology and the other is growing in numbers. But the story centres around these two characters( the guy here and the short haired chick that you see alot in my previous works xD) as they are caught inbetween a web of conspiracies in the background. This has something to do with human cloning and some other sciencey stuff ( this is the part i havent really fleshed out) But for now just assume it's about cloning, human experimentation and all that nasty shit xD
My friend helped me out with "stranger than dawn", sounds well enough for me but kinda vague, i dont really know how to explain it xD a one word title is fine as well. My temporary title is "Bushi" means warrior in japanese. Kinda generic but it's something suitable xD I'm looking for something more sophisticated though

Sounds like you've got the makings of a complex, interesting tale there.
These are kind of along a theme, but you might find something good in here. I'm playing off the clone idea, mostly, though there could be some representation of the two primary characters, as well; I don't know anything about their personalities or relationship to each other. Anyway, maybe one of them will fit or at least spark something for you.

Well, sometimes the title comes early, sometimes it just has to wait. My current project is called "The Plague" as a working title, but while that was a great title for the opening chapter, it's not really representative of the whole story (and probably not something that would grab your attention from the bookstands). So I'm just sticking with it until I come up with something snazzier that fits the overall story.
As for the "Stranger Before Dawn"... well, it depends on the tone of the story. It's said that it's "darkest before the dawn," so it could be a play on that, if there's a bit of humour to it. For a darker tone, it could refer to a person who's a stranger, but that might not make much sense if the story takes place over a long period of time. I'd say just go with it for now and if you later decide it doesn't fit... change it!

How about calling it Tomorrow's Sword or Tomorrow's Swords? I reckon that captures some of the feel, what with the whole samurai-and-technology thing.
Also, much coolness on the art...

how about "conflicts of advancement". It seems that both of your factions are advancing in tech in their own respects. The ? is which side will prevail morally and figuratively. Great artwork and sound like the grounds for an excellent read.

ahh thanks but conflicts of advancement sounds more like a subtitle in my opinion o.o A one word title would work too xD something i can make a franchise out of xD now we have stranger dawn/ stranger before dawn, stranger than dawn but still sounds like a subtitle >.<

Hmm, yeah titles are always tough, especially if the story isn't done yet:/ If it counts for anything, I know I'd pick up something called "Stranger than Dawn" and see what it was about. I'd go for Bushi too, but it probably wouldn't catch my attention as much.
Here are some more suggestions: Bushi Malady or Warrior Malady; The Dawn of Twilight
p.s. Got so caught up in titles, I almost forgot to tell you how awesome your character looks, shame on me! I like that you kept the background simple, so we could have fun drowning in the lovely details of the character; but you didn't sacrifice meaning in the background either. It is dark and melodramatic, but not without some sort of hope, be it the dawning light of a new day or the last glimmers of twilight.
p.p.s. Hope you let us know what you decide on for a title, I'm quite curious now

hmmm stranger than dawn sounds like a subtitle xD eg Bushi: stranger than dawn hahaa Dawn of twilight sounds not bad but kinda generic no? I dunno thats how i feel D:
Haha thanks for that in depth compliment on my character haha ahhh as for the title im afraid im still stuck, i might have to decide soon cuz i cant continue my projects without a title D: prolly settle for stranger dawn? stranger then dawn? stranger before dawn? opinions? oh any idea for one word titles? or 2 words? simple ones liek star wars, assassins creed, final fantasy, dragon age etc etc if i can get a short main title i can use the stranger ones as a subtitle <: D
