One of my favorite anime/Japense sci-fi villains is this enigmatic walking weaponized abomination from the 'Zeiram' franchise of the 90's. He first came to my attention with the "Iria: Zeiram the Animation" anime OAV back during Sci-Fi Channel's 'Saturday Morning Anime' phase. And in subsequent internet exploration, found out about the live-action movies and SNES game.

To describe Zeiram is kinda challenging, he/it is like what you'd probably get if you were to take Nemesis (Resident Evil), Venom and Doomsday, put them in a blender, and added generous amounts of H.R. Geiger. With the personality of classic Terminator.

Some sort of bizarre alien lifeform, and a possible bioweapon, of unknown origin. All that's known is that this thing is almost unstoppable. Add to that, it can seemingly create little 'minion/drone' creatures from excess biomass to act on it's behalf... or just simply create chaos for potential threats. And if it's current body/form can somehow be completely immobilized/destroyed... it can simply assimilate/possess host bodies (as it does in the anime). And even then, it's ridiculously resilient (as shown in the live-action movies) and persistent.

The only person who seems to have been able to stop him/it is the intergalactic bounty hunter known as Iria. Her determined attitude towards the creature may stem from the fact that this thing killed and assimilated her brother, Glen at one point.

So I commissioned to craft a sprite based on it. It proved challenging, since Zeiram's look/design seems to vary slightly from source to source. BUT I think he did an amazing job with the obstacles the subject created. Thanks dude.
